Q. Who designs and builds my store?
A. Craving the Curls will provide the franchise partner with architectural assistance concerning drawings and specifications. Franchise partner will negotiate with construction contractor and other construction suppliers, with assistance from Craving the Curls, in supervision and management of the construction of the space.
Q. How much is the franchise fee for a Craving the Curls store?
A. $32,000 per store location.
Q. Does Craving the Curls offer Multiple Units?
A. Yes. Craving the Curls is actively seeking qualified candidates to develop between 3-5 locations. We will also award single unit locations to the right candidate in the right market.
Q. How much are the on-going royalties?
A. 6% of total gross sales less sales tax.
Q. What type of Marketing assistance is available?
A. Craving the Curls will have available for the franchise partners a complete Grand Opening and on-going Local Store Marketing program.
Q. How much money can I make from a Craving the Curls shop?
A. In complying the FTC regulations, we are prohibited from making earnings claims to prospective franchise partners. Once you visit our flagship location in Paducah, KY, though, you will be able to see for yourself the type and volume of customers that we have.
Q. How is the site selected for my store?
A. Craving the Curls will provide Real Estate assistance in the site procurement process including negotiation with the retail space owners. We will analyze data such as traffic counts, daytime population, area demographics, co-tenants, traffic patterns, household incomes, number of residences, etc., as well as all the other factors that come into play in finding and securing a fantastic location for your Craving the Curls shop.
Q. Is there any experience necessary to own a Craving the Curls shop?
A. Yes, but not necessarily in foodservice. Craving the Curls actively searches for candidates with a strong background in areas such as business management, sales, marketing, accounting and hospitality. More than experience, however, is a can-do attitude and willingness to follow a set of systems and procedures that have been proven successful.

A. At least one owner or a designated manager must be involved on a full-time basis and must be responsible for the day-to-day operations and management.

A. Yes, we provide an extensive one-week training course for the new owners and management in our Paducah, KY store. In addition, we will send our team to your location immediately before and after your initial store opening. And no, we do not charge a training fee as it is already figured into the initial franchise fee.
Q. Do I get a protected territory for my Craving the Curls store?
A. Yes. We will draw an exclusive territory boundary around your store. The size will depend on the market and demographics.
Q. What are Area Representatives?
A. Area Representatives are like mini franchisors. They typically purchase the rights to a state or states and act as the franchisor to any franchise partner that wants to open a Craving the Curls in their territory. They get to participate in the franchise fees and royalties of these stores in exchange for helping us support and train these franchise partners. In short, they act as business consultants to the franchise partners underneath them, assisting them in all areas of the business. Our selection process is more stringent for Area Representatives, as they can have a major impact on the overall continued success of our brand.
